The Fifth Schedule of the Constitution of India deals with administration
and control of scheduled areas and scheduled tribes in these areas.
Scheduled Areas
The Fifth Schedule covers Tribal areas in 9 states of India namely Andhra
Pradesh, Jharkhand, Gujarat, Himachal Pradesh, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh,
Chattisgarh, Orissa and Rajasthan.

The North Eastern states such as Assam, Meghalaya, Tripura and Mizoram
are covered by the Sixth Schedule and not included in the Fifth schedule.

Balasor (parts of these districts only)
Essentially The Fifth Schedule is a Historic Guarantee to Indigenous
people on the right over the land they live in .
